Happy Father’s Day to my father, Daedalus.
Happy Father’s day to all the Daedaluses who give their lives to their children in order for them to soar and escape prison islands & man-made labyrinths.
Daedalus forged wings for his son, Icarus, with his blood, sweat, and fire so they could escape the prison island of Minos together.
My father gave his life for my wings in hopes that I can learn how to fly on my own. He never taught me how to fly, he just forged my wings with his own blood, sweat, and fire.
Daedalus crafted wings for himself and his son Icarus as a means of escape from the island of Crete, where they were imprisoned by King Minos.
King Minos had originally summoned Daedalus to his court because of his reputation as a brilliant inventor and craftsman.
After Daedalus completed the construction of the Labyrinth, which was designed to confine the Minotaur, Minos refused to let him leave the island, fearing that the secrets of the Labyrinth would be revealed.
Daedalus, recognizing their desperate situation, used his ingenuity to fashion wings from feathers and wax.
He taught Icarus how to fly, cautioning him to follow a middle path between the sea and the sun to avoid the dampness of the sea from clogging the wings and the heat of the sun from melting the wax.

Day 47 - the Artist’s Way (exploring the frontiers of gen AI)
Study Notes: It took me a couple of hours of prompting on my sunday afternoon to get to a point where I could establish the wings as a scientific creation & for the blood to be bloodied.
Learning how to prompt is tantamount to learning how to code in the Age of AI
